Location Employment Potential Release Date
Halifax Region Fair 2011-05-27

Currently the chances of qualified Senior Managers in Health, Education, Social and Community Services finding employment are considered to be fair in the local area. With the aging population, many employers are anticipating large holes in their workforce as senior managers look to retire, and are attempting to prepare younger workers for management positions. The aging population is also increasing the demand for Health Care services, which should increase the demand for these occupations. However declining enrolments within secondary schools and universities, will likely offset demand due to retirements.

In addition to employment opportunities locally, opportunities may exist in other areas of the province or in other regions of the country. People who are able to work elsewhere may want to research opportunities for this occupation in other labour markets within Nova Scotia and across the country. The future employment outlook for Senior Managers in Health, Education, Social and Community Services in Nova Scotia is expected to be fair over the next 5 years.
