Local Employment Requirements
Copywriters and technical writers are usually accredited by their connection to a writer's association. Employers may go to the associations and view profiles as well as request writer portfolios in order to help in the hiring process. They may also need an in-depth knowledge and/or university degree/college diploma demonstrating their understanding of the subject about which they are writing.
Creative writers are usually required to be part of an association/union as well as take some classes to continuously work on their writing skills. Some classes are offered by universities and colleges and some are also offered in workshops by writers.
