Local Training
Holland College:
Two programs are offered relating to this occupation. In the Computer Information Systems (CIS) program, students learn to work in microcomputer, client/ server, internet/intranet and networked computer environments. It is a two year program and also offered as a 10 week distance program.
The Business Information Systems Development (BISD) program prepares college and university graduates to work in the IT industry as E-Business Programmers/Analysts. It is a 10 month program. Both programs are offered in Charlottetown.
In addition, Holland College has an articulation agreement with UPEI. Graduates of the Computer Programmer Analyst profile of the Computer Information Systems program can receive 39 semester hours credit towards a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree.

University of Prince Edward Island:
The Department of Computer Science and Information Technology offers a four-year undergraduate program with a major in computer science as well as a five year major in Computer Science with a co-operative option, both leading to a Bachelor of Science Degree.
