Local Employment Requirements
For Home Support Workers employed by agencies, first-aid certification, a Certificate of Conduct, a medical certificate, TB testing, chest X-ray and references are a requirement for employment.

The Home Support Worker Program is a 16 week program consisting of 12 academic weeks and 4 weeks of on-the-job training. Home Support Worker Diploma Program is offered at the following post-secondary institutions:
- Corona College ( Grand Falls-Windsor)
- Keyin College (various campuses)
In addition, the Victorian Order of Nurses and many of the home support agencies offer their own in-house training program. Contact the individual agencies for specific details.
