- The Newfoundland and Labrador Health Boards Association will close at the end of April due to budget cuts. Nine employees will be affected.
- The provincial government Dept. of Child, Youth and Family Services announced $14.3M for the final phase to implement the Continuum of Care Strategy for children and youth
Week of Apr 08 – Apr 12, 2013
- The provincial government Dept. of Health and Community Services has invested $37M through a four-year agreement to support all pharmacies throughout the province
- Approximately 200 jobs will be cut from health boards across the province by next year. Eastern Health and the provincial government will be focusing on management positions when making these cuts.
