- The City of Bécancour is investing more than $1.5M to replace the ozonization system in its drinking water treatment plant (available in French only)
- ArcelorMittal, which owns an iron ore extraction complex in Fermont, is continuing to expand. Some 725 jobs will be added to the existing 1,000 over the next 30 years. (available in French only)
- Transports Québec will be spending $26.5M in the Montréal metropolitan area in summer 2013 to add reserved lanes and new park-and-ride spaces (available in French only)
- The health and social services institutions in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean will be looking to hire over 3,550 people over the next three years (available in French only)
- A data storage centre, estimated at close to $60M, will be built in Québec City in the coming months, creating some 30 jobs in the coming years (available in French only)
- The Grégoire and Desjardins funeral home recently opened its new $1.5M crematorium (available in French only)
- Gatineau-based Kaboom Communications has been awarded a $95,000 contract by the City of Gatineau to develop the communications plan for its future multiplex centre (available in French only)

- The Government of Québec announced an investment of $35M in the Laval region school system. This project will see the construction of two schools, the acquisition of one and the expansion of another. In total, 85 new classrooms will be added. (available in French only)
- The Commission scolaire de la Seigneurie-des-Mille-Îles will invest over $19M in the construction of two elementary schools with 21 classrooms in the Saint-Joseph-du-Lac and Mirabel areas. The schools are scheduled to open in September 2015. (available in French only)

- The Government of Québec is investing $6.7M in the Altasciences pharmaceutical company in Laval to fund the acquisition of Vince & Associates Clinical Research The investment will result in the creation of 75 new jobs in the years ahead. (available in French only)

- Elementary school École Sainte-Cécile, located in the Jonquière borough of Saguenay, will expand its gymnasium at a cost of $1.65M (available in French only)
- Shopping centre, Place Longueuil, will be renovated for approximately $33.3M (available in French only)
- Target will invest $10M to set up shop in Sherbrooke's Carrefour de l'Estrie in a space previously occupied by Zellers
- The Seigneurie Le Victorin of Victoriaville, a retirement home, is proceeding with a new expansion estimated at $3.6M (available in French only)
- The nursing staff of CHUS will have access to a new tool to perfect their training in traumatology in an emergency room. The software is estimated to close to $1M.
- French animation studio Digital District has announced the opening of its head office as well as that of a 3D production studio in Montreal, leading to the creation of 150 jobs (available in French only)
- Ericsson will build new facilities estimated at $1.2B in Vaudreuil-Dorion (available in French only)
- Construction of Résident Vallée de la Rouge in Huberdeau, an establishment for seniors faced with a loss of independence, has begun recently. This residence of more than $5M will replace the current building and will open by spring 2014. (available in French only)

- EQMBO-Entreprises, the collegial centre of technology transfer of Cégep de Victoriaville, which specializes in wood processing of finished products, has invested $1M in an industrial finishing research laboratory (available in French only)
- Rio Tinto Fer et Titane of Havre-Saint-Pierre will temporarily lay off 330 people for a 7-week period by the end of the year (available in French only)
- A new shelter for the CSSS of Haut-Saint-François will be built at a cost of $28M in East Angus (available in French only)

- Due to the demographic explosion in the Laurentides, the ministère de l'Éducation du Québec has announced an investment of nearly $15M to enlarge and renovate the facilities of the CEGEP de St-Jérôme and increase its capacity (available in French only)
- The CEGEP de St-Jérôme recently opened the Neurones et papilles restaurant, part of the new Gestion d'un établissement de restauration program that will welcome about thirty students after an investment of more than $2.4M (available in French only)
- The Government of Québec has announced investments of over $59M in education in Lanaudière to build three new schools in Terrebonne, Repentigny and Saint-Thomas, and to enlarge eight others (available in French only)
- A new daycare centre with 47 places will open in St-Côme in Fall 2013, after construction worth nearly $1M starts in June 2013. This new facility will create 11 new jobs. (available in French only)
