Newfoundland and Labrador - The provincial government's Dept. of Health and Community Services has announced that seven new Medical Flight team members are in training. The team will be stationed in Happy Valley-Goose Bay and expects to be operational by mid-summer.  
Manitoba - A new residential development, the Ridgewood South, was approved near the Charleswood area in Winnipeg. As many as 8,700 new residents are expected to move into the area over the next 15 years.  
British Columbia - The shortened Vancouver Canucks hockey season negatively affected the city's retail and hospitality sales, which could mean reduced work hours for some workers in these sectors over the next month
